Information about ArdgourArdgour is both a village and an area of Argyll (now Highland), over the Corran Fery from Onich, Fort William and Glencoe.
This rather expensive ferry (around 6.50 single for car and passengers) is the main access to Ardgour, Morvern and the Ardnamurchan Peninsula (local people do obtain a special rate though). The only other way into this peninsula is by way of the road around Loch Eil by way of Fort William and accesing the eastern part of the peninula down the western side of Loch Linnhe or the western side by way of Lochailort.
The Ardgour "village" can be seen clearly from the Nether Lochaber side of the ferry lying along the shores of the Loch at the Corran Narrows. The hotel is quite old and used to be owned by the MacLeans of Ardgour, the prominent family in the area, It is now under private ownership.
Clovullin is another small village off the main road which has a shop and other facilities.
