Located near the bottom of the Mull of Kintyre, on the west side, this harbour town has changed little in the last 100 years.
Nestling beneath green hills and around its harbour on Campbeltown Loch.
In the past herring fishing and whisky distilling were the mainstays of the town, now only 2 distilleries remain and the herring has gone.
Today it has become a quiet resort for golfers, anglers and walkers.
The island of Davaar, at the mouth of the loch can be reached by a causeway at low tide, where you can visit the famous caves.
During the summer the town hosts various festivals celebrating local music arts and fabulous local seafood....
