King Edward

Scotland > East of Scotland > Aberdeenshire > King Edward

Located on the east bank of the River Deveron. This strange sounding village (at least for Scotland, King Edward was a hated oppressor) is inactual fact an anglified version of the Gaelic "ceann eader".
The old castle was a Comyn stronghold used in their fight against Robert the Bruce, their rival in trying to gain the Scottish crown.
