The Lundin Links golf course is of a standard high enough to hold qualifying rounds for the Open Championship when it is held in St Andrews.
Lower Largo is a tourist resort with an attractive harbour. It was four years and four months before he was rescued. Daniel Defoe, became interested in Selkirks real-life story and in 1718 published - Robinson Crusoe. In the village a statue of Andrew Selkirk, dressed in desert island goat-skin clothing, marks where the cottage he was born in, stood. Lower Largo is an ideal centre for trips to St Andrews, Culross, Dunfermline, Perth, Falkland Palace and the east Neuk of Fife.
Upper Largo, known as Kirkton of Largo, with its old Church, founded in 1243, lies near the foot of Largo Law. With its17th cent. spire, it sits on a grassy hill, forming a picturesque setting amongst the trees.
Between Upper Largo and Lundin Links are the ruins of Largo House which was built by Robert Adams in 1750.
