About 4 miles southeast of Hamilton just off the M74 lies the town of Larkhall. With a population over 15,000 Larkhall was once known as Laverockhall and was famouse for mining and weaving, now known for electronic, electrical and engineering industries.

The Morgan Glen railway viaduct is the most famous landmark of the town.
