On the A83 "Rest and be Thankful" road between Arrochar and Inveraray just before the climb up the hill going west towards Inveraray

Ardgartan lies on the shores of Loch Long and is known as an outdoor centre, marketed by the Forestry Commission (Forestry Scotland) who run a large caravan and camping site. There is also a Youth Hostel run by SYHA.
