Mousa

An island in the Shetland's, lying off the east of the Mainland, a 11 miles south of Lerwick.

Its most noteworthy feature is the 2,000 year old broch. Standing at 43 feet and 50 feet wide at the base it is unique in giving us the clearest and most impressive example of this kind of island fortification to be found anywhere in Scotland.
