Polmont

Scotland > Central Scotland > Stirlingshire > Polmont

The name Polmont is thought to derive from the Celtic for 'pool of the moor'. To the northeast lies the River Avon and the Antonine Wall and Firth of Forth both lie to the north. The churchyard holds a monument to Dr. Henry, who was buried there in 1790.
