An ancient district of north east Aberdeenshire stretching from the River Deveron to the west to the sea and from Fraserburgh on the north coast to the River Ythan to the south. Primarily heard today as a Westminster Constituency (Banff & Buchan).

Rich agriculturally and also one of the most important sea fishing communities in the uk - sadly being diminished.
