Buckhaven

Scotland > Central Scotland > Fife > Buckhaven

Buckhaven is a former fishing and ferry port on the A955 8 miles north east of Kirkcaldy. Now forms, together with Methil, the southern part of Leven.

The town has a typical traditional Fife village design but enhanced by streets of steps.

In the 19th century and for most of the 20th, Methil and Buckhaven were part of the Fife mining community..
