On the headland on the southern side of Peterhead between inner Peterhead Bay and Sandford Bay. Location of the famous Peterhead High Security Prison and Peterhead Maritime Musem. Also worth visiting nearby are the Arbuthnot Museum and Art Gallery and the Ugie Salmon Fish House. Inverugie Castle lies just inland.
