Brig o'Turk

In the beautiful Trossachs area of Stirlingshire, this small hamlet, now a dormitory village for Callander and beyond and also a country holiday destination lies on the A821, about 5 miles west of Callander on the shores of Loch Venachar.

Bens Ledi (879m) and Vane (820m) lies nearby. A track leading north from the village takes you to a dam and the man-made reservior of Glen Finglas.

The derivation of the name Brig o'Turk appears to be bridge of the wild boar.
