Crail

Scotland > Central Scotland > Fife > Crail

Classic view of Crail, East Neuk of Fife. The most easterly of the fishing villages of the east neuk of Fife, this charming village with its stone enclosed harbour is rightly popular as a holiday destination.
The parish church dates back to the 12th century and a there is a 16th century tolbooth. Crail's wide tree lined Marketgate has many small and charming 17th and 18th century houses.
The castle walk above the harbour gives views on a clear day as far away as St. Abbs Head in the far east of Berwickshire.
