YesScotland.com : A view of Duart Castle The castle stands on the Isle of Mull. It was built for the MacLeans from 13th to 17th centuries.
The castle changed hands after 1681 but was bought back and restored in 1912 by Sir Fitzroy MacLean.
It has a commanding position on a rocky site at the entrance to the Sound of Mull, opposite the south end of Lismore.
