Durness

One of the most northerly villages in the UK, Cape Wrath being only a few miles to the west. Balnakeil with its ancient church and craft village lies only a short distance from the Durness. Smoo Cave is one of the largest caves in the UK being 200 feet long, 130 feet wide, and 50 feet high at the entrance.

Access to Cape Wrath is not good and often restricted as the area is owned by the MOD and frequently used for exercises - all three of the forces being used.
