

FalkirkScotland > Central Scotland > Stirlingshire > Falkirk Falkirk is the administrative capital for the Falkirk council. It is situated in an ideal position between Edinburgh and Glasgow at the heart of Scotland's rail and road networks. Callendar Park House which dates from the 14century is south east of Falkirk. During the the 14century King Alexander II gave most of the area to the Livingstones, this family's descendants became Earls of Callendar and Linlithgow however they forfeited these titles during the Jacobite Rising in 1715.
