The road to the north goes to Banchroy and Royal Deeside, east is Laurncekirk approximatly 4 miles away. When entering Fettercairn from the South you are greeted by an archway which commemorates Queen Victoria and Prince Alberts vist to and stay in Fettercairn in 1861.
