Findhorn

Scotland > East of Scotland > Moray > Findhorn

Findhorn's used to be the principal port in Moray, however when the railway arrived in 1860 the importance of the village declined.
The original settlement to the west of modern Findhorn was destroyed by Culbin Sands drifting. Findhorn has developed as a holiday resort and offers marine leisure facilities.
It is home to the unique Findhorn Community, a group of "alternative lifestyle" adherents who promote ecological use of the environments resources and communal activities.
