Airlie Castle

5 miles north east of Alyth in Angus, north of the A926 road to Kirriemuir. A country house was built over the original ruins but this also fell into disrepair.

The Ogilvie family built the castle in the 15th century when land was given to them by James I. The Campbells destroyed it in the middle of the 17th century and little exists today.
